Yummy Fruit Smoothie

When I was pregnant, one of the instructors in our child birthing classes shared this yummy smoothie recipe. It has tons of vitamins, calcium, protein and folic acid! Everything a growing baby needs. No, I'm not expecting, but obviously, it is good for you regardless! Besides, I still have a "growing baby"... she's just not in my tummy anymore!

Let's make our smoothie!

You will need:
  • Yogurt, 1 little carton
  • 1 Banana
  • Frozen Fruit, berries, strawberries, whatever you like - about 1/4 - 1/2 cup
  • OJ, about 1/4 - 1/2 cup, depends how thick you like it
  • Ice, depends how much of the frozen fruit you add

Now, just throw it all in the blender until its the consistency you prefer! The ingredients are not exact because this recipe is all about how you want your smoothie! As long as you have the main ingredients, feel free to "doctor" it as you please! Add fresh fruit too! Get creative, this recipe was meant to be experimented with!

The fancy glass is for my "growing baby"! We shared this smoothie after a play date! If you plan to share too, make sure the smoothie isn't too thick so they can drink it through the straw! I have no problem getting my little one to eat fruit and she is pretty good with most veggies too. However, I'm thinking about hiding the veggies she won't eat in this smoothie!! I'll keep you posted on how it works out!
