Perkin Up the Porch

Our front porch has looked rather drab lately. Decorating can get pretty boring in between holidays. So, I figured it was time to make something basic to keep up for just those times. I know the weather is cold pretty much everywhere, even our neck of the woods has been cooler than usual. I figured a "pick me up" was just what our porch needed to send spring this way & keep it here. A new fun "Welcome" sign and some potted flowers did the trick!


To make your own "Welcome" sign, you will need these supplies... plus one napping baby and a sunny afternoon!

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I am addicted to Hobby Lobby! I love being able to find everything I need for my crafting in one store. I used primary acrylics because I'm putting the sign on our front porch, and I want bright and fun! I just sponged different shades of blue around "Welcome" which I stenciled in a fun metallic green. Red for the wood applique and yellow around the frame!

Ta - Da!!! Come on Spring!!
